Current Events (Electricity)
3rd though 6th Grades

Many of us think of electricity as something dangerous, mysterious, complicated, powerful and definitely not to be messed with. But it is also something that all of us use every day. This project includes activities on how electricity works, and basic circuitry.
 
Other standards addressed: Students will...
  • Science 4.3.3 - ...develop an understanding of light, heat, electricity and magnetism.
  • Science 8.3.3 - ...develop an understanding of the transfer of energy.
During this project, three visits can be scheduled:
To explore electricity and circuits.
To build simple quiz boards.
Make electricity come to life with Snap Circuits Jr. ®
