Nutrition Know How - Healthy Me
1st - 2nd Grades

Nutrition staff will deliver the kit directly to the classroom and teach the first lesson.  The kit remains with the teacher for up to 3 weeks.

Teacher has the flexibility to work the lessons into their schedule.

Staff returns to the classroom to pick up the kit and leads the students in preparing a healthy snack.

Curriculum:

Join the Dairy Council's "Chef Combo" as he helps students discover
  • Why their bodies need food.
  • How their bodies use this food.
  • How to plan a balanced meal.
  • How to choose healthy snacks.

Two visits will be scheduled during this project. Teachers will receive all the materials necessary to teach fun and effective nutrition education.

$45 per classroom (up to 30 students)
