The projects listed below are designed to enrich your classroom curriculum. For most projects, you will have the option of using a kit with activities, or combining that kit with visits by staff from the University of Nebraska Lincoln Extension Office in Douglas/Sarpy Counties. The series of up to forty-five minute presentations which can accompany each project are explained within the project descriptions. The fees which are indicated are inclusive of all supplies needed for the entire series of programs. In order for Extension staff to adequately give their presentations, teachers or staff members MUST remain in the classroom.

Use the online form to enroll. Please indicate the date on which you would like to begin the project and a time of day you can be reached. The 4-H Office will make every attempt to accommodate your requested dates. A representative will call you to schedule the visit(s) and/or delivery of your project. The appropriate grade levels for each project are indicated following the project titles.

We have attempted to identify some of the Nebraska State Board of Education Standards each project can help your students fulfill. Those concepts are highlighted within the boxes and following the project description. All projects have been designed to help your students develop an understanding of systems, order and organizations, (SCIENCE STANDARD 1.1.1, 4.1.1, 8.1.1) and the abilities needed to do scientific inquires (1.2.1, 4.2.1, 5.2.1, 8.2.1)
