Extension Associate Professor-Herpetology
A bachelor's degree in vertebrate biology from Iowa State University, followed by a master's in entomology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln prepared Dennis to be the staff wildlife and backyard 'pest' specialist. He trains Master Gardeners as 'Pest Masters,' and offers programs in pesticide application. A popular speaker and media interviewee, Dennis has a particular interest in habitat establishment. He writes a Sunday World-Herald column on home and garden pest management.
